Pomeg-Tech provides complete project management and consulting services for growers and processors of pomegranates. Our services range from a stand-alone preliminary feasibility study to complete, turn-key project, which includes a feasibility study, expert consulting services on planting and harvesting, and the construction of processing and storage facilities. The implementation of each project conforms to the specific requirements of each client, taking into consideration the local conditions and the specific goals of the clients.
A typical end-to-end project includes:
- An economic study covering all aspects of growing, selection of varieties, irrigation and fertilization (fertigation), plant protection and the various technologies of storage, processing, packaging and marketing
- Supplying all the necessary inputs, such as saplings of different varieties, irrigation systems (including control systems), equipment for fruit processing (extraction and separation machines, packaging machines, juice production) and fruit storage.
- Detailed design of storage facilities, processing plants and packing facilities
- Running-in of the complete system, technology transfer, training of local personal and supervision of operation at the initial stage
- Organizing the management of marketing for both, fresh and processed fruit
Each project is initially economically evaluated to decide on its viability. Once the project is under way, continuous economic evaluation is offered to conform to periodical changes.
Project Implementation timeline.
- 1.POMEG-TECH provides the customer with a list of required data to be collected in the region and supplied to POMEG-TECH. These data cover – in addition to climate, soil, etc. – the essential data on the customer’s marketing and economic history in the pomegranate business.
- 2.POMEG-TECH team members analyze the provided information and prepare a detailed proposed program for the collaboration between the customer and POMEG-TECH.
- 3.After the customer’s approval, POMEG-TECH selects the team members that will travel to the customer’s region and carry out the missions defined mutually as TOR.
The travel, working procedure and the budget to conduct the mission in the customer’s region is subject to the customer’s prior approval of the budget.
- 4. The traveling team reports to the customer on their impressions, before leaving the area.
- 5.After returning to Israel the team leads an in depth analysis of the situation and future planning with full participation of all POMEG-TECH experts. The discussion of all POMEG-TECH team members serves as a basis for the final document that will cover entirely agreed TOR.
- 6. The final report is prepared and delivered by POMEG-TECH to the customer at the planned delivery date. It covers all the chapters defined in the TOR, and elaborates on topics which were not included in the planned contents from the beginning.
- 7. The last chapter of the document lists the proposed activities of POMEG-TECH in collaboration with the customer and defines the long-term mode of this collaboration.
